The Qualifications page will allow you to list all your qualifications. This will indicate to the inquisitor the extent of your knowledge in a specific area. In addition you can upload any certificates or even give details for qualification verification.

In the first drop-down menu you should specify the type of qualification that you have. For instance, select "BA" if you have a Bachelor of Arts degree or "Baccaleureat" if you have a "Baccaleureat" in a certain subject. If you do not find your qualification in the list, select "Other.." and fill in the details of your qualification in the Other Details field. For future use, your qualification will then be added to our list.

In the second drop-down menu, you should select the subject in which this qualification is held. Once again, if our list does not contain the subject you require, select "Other.." and fill in the subject in the Other Details field. Your subject will be added to our list.

In the third drop-down menu, you can select the institution from which you obtained your qualification. If this is not relevant, simply select "Not Specified or Relevant". If the institution is relevant but not shown, select "Other.." and fill in the institution in the Other Details field.

Note that in extreme cases the Other Details field may contain the qualification, the subject and the institution. This is not a problem!

If you wish you can tell us how to verify your qualifications, or you can publish the certificate for the qualification. If you do this the icon will appear alongside the qualification in your full expert details. The simplest and easiest way is to upload a copy of your certificate. Before you can upload a photo you must make sure that it meets our requirements. Certificates should be a JPG or GIF image (although we recommend that you use a JPG file since this will be smaller). It is easier to upload a smaller file, however it is of great importance that the certificate is readable and therefore verifiable.

To upload your certificate click on the Browse button and then select the certificate file on your local computer system. Once the file has been selected click on the Open button. If your browser does not allow you to upload images to our server, you can send your certificate as a picture attachment in an email to certificates@bumperbrain.com. Please remember to include your membership number in the subject line or in the message itself, and tell us whether you want us to blank out your personal details in the certificate, or even whether you do not wish us to publish the certificate at all.

Before you upload it to our server you should indicate whether you want the certificate to be displayed to potential inquisitors as it is; whether you want to display it with your personal details blanked out; or whether you don't want to display it at all. Once you have selected the relevant radio button, click on the Update button at the bottom of the Qualifications page.

Alternatively, you can give us written details on how we can verify your qualification. This might include the email address of the relevant institution and full details of what and when you studied there.

Once you have updated your qualifications, for security reasons, they are subject to approval. Alongside each qualification, an icon will indicate whether it has been Approved or Awaiting Approval. The BumperBrain staff typically approve qualification almost immediately, so it will not be long before they appear in your complete details.

You can delete a qualification by checking the Delete checkbox and then clicking on the Update button.

If your browser supports java, you can toggle between the Areas of Expertise, Skill Set and Qualifications pages by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page. If your browser does not support java these links will be displayed at the top right hand corner.
