Answers Submitted To A Question

The Responses To Your Question page is divided into two sections. The top section shows details of the question you asked - the date you asked the question, the question title, the price (if you specified one), the full text of the question and whether you wanted the question to be answered with a live consultation.

A list of all the responses submitted will be in the lower section of the page. This lists the Date, Time, Expert, Price and Status of each response.

In the Status column a number of icons may appear. The icon indicates that you have accepted an answer to this question and are just waiting for it to be submitted. The icon indicates that you have received an answer to this question - click on the icon to see the answer. And finally, the icon indicates that the question will be answered with a live consultation - click on the icon to schedule or join the live consultation.

The icon indicates that an expert requires additional information before answering your question - click on the icon to see this information in a popup window. Alternatively click on the icon at the bottom of the page to see the additional information inscreen. You can update your question by clicking on the Update Question button.

The icon indicates that additional notes have been attached to the expert's response. Typically these notes will be attached to responses notifying you of a willingness to answer a question, and are meant to act as a guide to the expert's suitability to answer the question. Click on the icon to see these notes in a popup window. Alternatively click on the button at the bottom of the page to see these notes inscreen.

If you have asked experts to quote you a price for an answer to a question, the price they have quoted will appear in the Price column.

The membership numbers and public names of the experts who have responded are listed in the Expert column. You can see the complete details of an expert by clicking on the expert name. Note to see a list of all the experts eligible to answer the question, click on the menu item while viewing or editing the question details (ie. after clicking on the question title in your list of outstanding questions).

When you have chosen to review responses, you will be given the opportunity to accept a given expert, price or answer. You can do this by clicking on the radio button next to the appropriate response. Alternatively, you can "Wait for more responses" by leaving the radio button immediately below the table checked.

When you have chosen to review answers, all answers received so far will be displayed - please be sure to rate all of the answers submitted. For more help on rating answers, see the ratings help page.
