The BumperBrain Expert's Wizard guides you through each of the 14 steps involved in becoming an expert, and should take just a few minutes to complete. At each stage it will explain in detail what data you should enter, and then it will prompt you to enter it.

You may find it convenient to prepare most of the details required to become an expert in advance, so for your information the expert details collected by the wizard include the following:

• Your Public Name is the name by which you are known to inquisitors and other members.
• Your Brief Profile is a couple of sentences giving a short, precise and accurate description of yourself, your achievements, your skills and your experience.
• Your Full Profile should give a complete picture of your skills, achievements and experience.
• Your Keywords, which are optional, will be associated with you as an expert, and will locate you when an inquisitor uses those keywords to search for an expert.
• Your Website, which is optional, gives a URL to link your expert's profile to. Your website must have a reciprocal link back to us if you want us to link to your website.
• Your Photograph, which is optional, is a scanned JPG photograph of yourself which is 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.
• Your CV or Sales Brochure, which is optional, is your personal CV (resumé) or your company's sales brochure.
• Your Areas of Expertise are the categories in the BumperBrain hierarchy in which you are an expert.
• Your Skill Set is a listing (in straight text, and defined by you) of the set of skills that you have, and that will be of interest or use to inquisitors and other members.
• Your Qualifications, which are optional, is a listing of the professional and educational qualifications that you have, including scanned certificates if you have them.
• Your Invoice Details, which are optional, consist of the name, address, scanned logo and tax details (if appropriate) that are used to print out an invoice for your clients. Note that your logo, if specified, can be a GIF or JPG image of 240 pixels wide by 88 pixels high.

Be sure to complete each stage of the wizard, reading the instructions that are presented carefully and thoroughly to ensure you do not omit anything. At the end of the final stage, you should press the "Finish" button to become a BumperBrain expert.

You can access the Expert's Wizard from the Expert Details section of the "Settings" menu. However, if you are already an expert you may find it easier to edit your expert details directly.
