About Our Experts

The Full Expert Details page shows all the information on the expert, allowing you to see their areas of expertise, achievements, skills, experience, qualifications and history. To complement the details described below, you may also see a icon next to the heading giving the expert's name, in which case you can click on it to download the expert's CV (or, if they are a business, their sales brochure).

The Member since and Expert since fields are there to show you how long the member has been a BumperBrain expert. If known, we will also show you the times of day the expert is typically available, and when the expert's last activity was; in addition, the icon will be displayed when the expert is currently logged in to BumperBrain - move your cursor over the icon and it will tell you how long the expert has been logged in for.

You can see a sample invoice for the expert by clicking on the icon. If you are a member and have logged in, there are additional features. You can ask the expert a question by clicking on the icon; you can send the expert a message by clicking on the icon; and (when available) you can request a live consultation with the expert by clicking on the icon. You can add the expert to your list of favourites () or least favourites () by checking the appropriate box and clicking on Add. You can remove experts from these lists in the personal preferences page in the "Settings" menu.

The Expert's Profile is a personalised account of the expert's achievements, skills, experience and expertise. It gives a more comprehensive picture than the brief profile shown (for each expert) in the "About our Experts" browser. If the expert has defined a website, then that will also be shown along with a link to take you straight there.

The Skill Set shows all the areas in which the expert feels that they are knowledgeable. This may include areas not covered by or directly relevant to the hierarchy. Areas of Expertise on the other hand identifies the specific categories in the hierarchy in which the expert has declared expertise. Underneath each category is the rating the expert has got for answers submitted in that category. Holding the mouse pointer over the rating will tell you how many questions have been answered in this category and (of that number) how many have been rated. For help on intepreting the rating system see the ratings help page. Once you are logged in, you can ask the expert a question by clicking on the icon to the right of the specific category you want.

Qualifications lists all the qualifications that the expert has. If the icon appears next to a qualification, this means that a certificate is available for viewing or that the qualification has been verified - click on the icon to see the certificate.

The Expert's History shows a summary of the expert's activity on BumperBrain, along with the expert's overall rating to date. Click on the link for a detailed listing of the answers (to questions) the expert has submitted, plus a list of the solutions and documents the expert has uploaded to the library.
