To become an expert you must first become a member. Once you have joined and logged in, the simplest way to become an expert is by using the Expert's Wizard which will guide you through the whole process. You can enter the expert's wizard by clicking on the icon on the Expert Details page of the Settings menu.

Otherwise you can become an expert by updating your Expert Details (on the Settings menu) by hand. To do this you should fill in both a brief profile and a full profile of yourself, and then click on the check box indicating that you want to become an expert.

The aim of the Brief Profile is to sell yourself, in just a couple of sentences, to potential inquisitors. It should be a short, precise and accurate description of yourself, your achievements, your skills and your experience.

The Full Profile will be shown to potential inquisitors when they are reviewing your complete details. Once again the aim is to sell yourself to potential inquisitors. In this case you can provide a fuller picture of your skills, achievements and experience.

If you wish you can enter a comma separated list of keywords relevant to you as an expert in the Keywords field. These keywords will be used when inquisitors use the Search function to search for experts. You may also enter the URL of your Website, allowing inquisitors to click straight through from your profile to your website. And as an additional option you can indicate when you are generally online.

Once you click on Update you have become an expert. You will then need to give us information on your Skill Set, Areas of Expertise and Qualifications. You will even be given the opportunity to upload a photograph of yourself to personalise your details, and also to upload your CV. For further information see Updating Expert Details.
