Before you can answer a question, you must become an expert. Becoming an expert couldn't be easier: simply fill out the appropriate fields in the Expert Details section of the Settings pages.

The very first time you answer a question, you must first read and agree to our terms and conditions for experts - be sure that you have fully read and understood our terms before proceeding.

Some questions may require you to answer the question with a live consultation, or allow you to choose whether you prefer to answer it with a live consultation. In that case you will schedule the live consultation rather than entering the answer to the question directly, and then use the live consultation to provide the answer to the question.

If the inquisitor will accept the first answer submitted, you can fill in your answer in the large textbox. You can indicate whether you want your answer to be added to the BumperBrain Library of Questions by clicking on the checkbox. As soon as you submit your answer by clicking on the Submit button, your account will be credited with the appropriate funds.

If the inquisitor wishes to review experts, you can submit any notes (typically relating to the answer you will give) in the large textbox. The inquisitor will then be notified of your willingness to answer the question and you will be contacted if you have been chosen to answer the question. The icon in the Question List indicates that you have been selected to answer the question.

If the inquisitor wants to review answers, you can fill in your answer in the large textbox. You can indicate whether you want your answer to be added to the BumperBrain Library of Questions by clicking on the checkbox. In this case, when you click on the Submit button, your answer will be submitted but your account will not be credited with the appropriate funds. The inquisitor will have the opportunity to review answers from many experts. If your answer is chosen you will be notified and your account will be credited; otherwise your answer may only be rated.

If the inquisitor wants experts to submit quotes, you will be invited to submit a quote for answering the question as well as any extra notes (typically relating to the answer you will give) that you feel are relevant.

The icon in the question list indicates that the question has been directed specifically at you. Once you have filled in your answer and submitted it, your account will be credited with the appropriate funds.

In each case, you have the opportunity to ask for more information if the inquisitor has not provided sufficient information to answer the question. You can do this by clicking on the appropriate checkbox and then filling in the information you require in the large textbox.

When entering the text of your answer, you can attach a document or file to the answer by clicking on the icon; the inquisitor will be able to download the file(s) you have uploaded when viewing your answer. If your browser does not support JavaScript then you will need to tick the relevant checkbox, and you will then be able to attach the document or file to your answer after clicking the Submit button.
